How it works

Spotify encrypts its audio and doesn't allow downloads outside its app. SaveTheClip uses the public track details from Spotify and finds the same song on YouTube, then converts that audio. You never log in to Spotify.

How do I download a song from Spotify?

In Spotify tap the three dots on a song, then Share → Copy song link. Paste it into SaveTheClip and press Download MP3.

Do I need Spotify Premium?

No. You don't need an account at all. Just paste a public Spotify link.

Is the audio from Spotify?

No. Spotify's own audio is encrypted. We match each track on YouTube and convert it, so the quality depends on the best upload available there.

Why is a song slightly different from Spotify?

Occasionally the closest YouTube match is a different version (live, remaster or music video). Try downloading it again or use the YouTube to MP3 tool with the exact video you want.
